HISTORY OF THE LAND
Wallace Gap Farm has a history dating back to the 18th century, when it was part of a 5,000-acre land grant from England to the Wallace family in 1735. The Lovelace family were fortunate to acquire the property in 2003, and since then, expanded the land to accommodate the growing herd.
The soil there is not only rich in nutrients but steeped in history, making it the perfect place for the Angus cattle to thrive.
A DECADE LATER
A decade ago, the farm began with 30 Black Angus heifers, aiming to produce the highest quality, all-natural beef. Today, their herd has grown to 130, and they handle a "cow-calf" operation. They began by selling calves at auction and worked the way up to finishing steers and sharing beef in 2020. They have been refining the process ever since! Now, after continuous improvements, they are proud to offer USDA inspected, premium Black Angus beef to your family.
